During the perfect delivery process, take the time to explain the Bluetooth^® connectivity features as outlined below:

Pair the customer’s phone(s) and ensure the contacts download successfully

To begin the pairing process, press the “Call” button on the steering wheel or Device Connections on the head unit SETUP screen

Turn Bluetooth^® on from the phone then search and select the vehicle name on the phone that matches the name on the audio unit screen (Kia).

Follow the instructions on the phone to confirm the passkey displayed and select “Pair” on the phone to complete the pairing process.

Be sure to allow phonebook download or contact sync on the phone and accept all requests for future auto-connection.

Reference the vehicle user manuals if more specific instructions are needed to pair and connect additional phones.

If a problem is encountered with Bluetooth^®, delete the phone from the head unit and the head unit from the phone, turn the phone off then back on and start the process over again with a fresh pairing connection.

Demonstrate how to stream audio

If a phone is connected through Bluetooth^® and the settings on the audio unit allow streaming, press the “Media” button on the audio unit to find Bluetooth^® Audio Streaming mode.

Two phones can be connected to stream audio, however you are only able to stream audio one phone at a time.

Ensure that the listening volume on the phone is turned up (Bluetooth^® streaming is dependent upon phone volume level).

Keep in mind that Bluetooth^® functionality and compatibility depends on the phone and phone operating system version. It is recommended to always have the customer update to the latest released operating system version on their phone as phone manufacturers continue to fix bugs/issues.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) is a supplemental Advanced Driving Assistance System feature designed to detect the lane markers on the road with a front view camera on the windshield, and may assist the driver’s steering to potentially help keep the vehicle in the lane. The feature is available on some trims of 22 MY Kia vehicles including Telluride, K5, Sorento, Forte, Soul, Seltos, Stinger, Carnival, Niro, and Sportage. The instrument cluster indicator will initially illuminate white when turned ON. It will remain white when the vehicle is traveling slower than 40 mph or when the system does not detect the lane markers. When the system detects lane markers and all operating conditions are met, the LKA icon will illuminate green.

There are selectable modes found within the instrument cluster or navigation system (Note: The settings and descriptions available may vary by model):

• Assist – Automatically assists with steering to help prevent the vehicle from leaving the lane

• Warning Only – Provides a warning when the vehicle leaves the lane without operating the turn signal switch

• Off – Disables the lane safety functions

To select the desired lane safety feature within the cluster, access the User Setting mode, Driver Assistance menu, Lane Safety, and select the desired mode.

For the 2022 Stinger, the system requires the steering wheel control button to be depressed for 2 seconds in order to engage the system.

The entire system can be activated or deactivated by depressing the LKA button with the ignition switch or START/STOP button in the ON position.
